Winemaking Philosophy

In each wine, we tell a story, take on an identity, a reflection of the vineyard that gave birth to it. We represent the best productions of Douro, to honor what the previous generation has given to us, committing ourselves to the production and harvest of the best quality grapes. Our winemaking processes allow our grapes to reflect their natural qualities, through a rigorous selection of wine batches.

Our vineyards are situated in the heart of Douro Valley, in the rustic village of Alijó, on the right margin of the Douro River, with different sun exposures and altitudes to better reflect the full potential and versatility of our terroir. Soils of granite-schist transition at an average altitude of 500m. The first vineyards were planted as single vineyard parcels in 1985. We cultivate our own vineyards, attending to the needs of the terroir, understanding its impact on the conditions of the grapes each year. This analysis is essential and critical in the production of great wines.
